TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 1
Our tour begins with a motorcoach transfer with your Siouxland Travel Representative to the airport. We’ll fly to Washington Reagan Airport and be met by our motor coach pickup. Enjoy a group dinner followed by a Monument Night Tour highlighting the grandeur of American history! (D)
WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 2
After breakfast at the hotel, we will explore Martin Luther King, FDR and Jefferson Monuments. Next, we will view the artifacts of the White House | Visitor Center. You will have a choice to visit one of the Smithsonian Museums. Our day will wrap up with a visit to the National Cathedral. (B,D)
THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 3
In the morning, we depart for Arlington National Cemetery on a narrated tour that takes us to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. We’ll also make a stop at the Marine Cops War Memorial and Air Force Memorial. Next, we will enjoy a memorable afternoon spent at Mount Vernon, the plantation of our first president, George Washington. We’ll tour President Washington’s historical home and wander the grounds overlooking the Potomac. (B,D)
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 4
We begin today at the Washington Monument followed by a visit to the Holocaust Museum. During the afternoon, we tour the historic US Capitol Building. We’ll conclude the day with a memorable evening dinner cruise on Potomac from 6-8:30pm, a time to enjoy and reminisce on the historic places we have visited and our unique D.C. experiences. (B,D)
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 5
This morning, we will explore the Museum of the Bible before we transfer to the airport for our flight home. (B)
