Saturday, October 8
Motor coach transfer with our Siouxland Travel Representatives to the Sioux Falls airport. Departure from Sioux Falls to Boston via Delta Air Lines. Enjoy time at leisure before our welcome dinner at a local restaurant. Spend the next two nights in the heart of Boston at the historic and grand Boston Park Plaza. (B, D)

Sunday, October 9
Enjoy a full, hot breakfast before walking the Freedom Trail with a local guide following in the footsteps of those who shaped America during the Revolutionary War. Take in iconic sights, like the Boston Massacre Site, the Old South Meeting House, Granary Burying Ground, and more. Get a taste of Boston on a Boston Public Market and North End Neighborhood Food Tour, featuring the Historic Union Oyster House, Boston Public Market, Limonicello, and Modern Pastry. (B)

Monday, October 10
Next stop: Vermont, the “Green Mountain State,” where tree-covered mountainsides dot a charming landscape of quaint villages with traditional, white steeple churches. Arrive in Woodstock, “the quintessential New England Village” with its beautifully resorted Georgian homes and a covered bridge. We will visit the impressive 165-foot deep, mile-long Quechee Gorge before arriving at The Lodge at Spruce Peak in Stowe — our home for the next two nights. (B, D)

Tuesday, October 11
Explore a little of Austria and a lot of Vermont on a von Trapp Family History Tour. Get a behind-the-scenes look into their day-to-day operations while exploring the property. At the Cold Hollow Cider Mill, watch and learn how fresh cider is produced the old-fashioned way, via rack and cloth press; a process that has been passed down for generations. A tour of Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Factory fills you in on the process of making ice cream and ends with a sample of their world-famous scoops. Enjoy some leisure time discovering Stowe before joining the group for dinner. (B, D)

Wednesday, October 12
We are New Hampshire bound! Soak in the lovely New England countryside as we journey through the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Stop to explore the Rocks Estate, home to the North Country Conservation & Education Center. On a tour of the farm, learn about the history and importance of maple sugaring in the region and visit a virtual tap room. Later continue to North Conway via the Kancamagus Highway, a scenic byway offering spectacular views of the White Mountains region. We will spend the night at the North Conway Grand Hotel. (B, D)

Thursday, October 13
Experience the highest peak in the Northeast via the Mount Washington Cog Railway! The Cog is the first mountain-climbing cog railway in the world, and it’s located in the heart of the majestic White Mountains region of northern New Hampshire. Then we will make our way to Portland for a locally guided tour of Fort Williams Park to view the Portland Head Light, the most photographed lighthouse in America and the oldest in Maine. Enjoy some free time this afternoon in beautiful Portland before dinner and making our way to Kennebunkport where we will spend the last two nights of this amazing trip. (B, D)

Friday, October 14
Take in all that Kennebunkport has to offer on this last full day of the tour. We will visit Walker’s Point, the home on a rocky promontory that’s a summer residence to the family of the late President George H.W. Bush. We will spend an hour or two cruising Coastal Maine. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure before joining our fellow travelers for a special farewell dinner, featuring fresh native lobster! (B, D)

Saturday, October 15
After enjoying a full, hot breakfast, we will return to the Boston airport with the many wonderful memories of our adventure. (B)
