ITINERARY

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 28-FRIDAY, OCTOBER 30 (OFF WE GO!)
Our once in a lifetime experience begins in Orange  City, IA with a deluxe motor coach transfer to the Minneapolis Airport with your Siouxland Travel personal guides. We will depart from Minneapolis to Cairns, Australia.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 30 (ARRIVE BRISBANE/CAINES)
Welcome to the land down under! We arrive in  Brisbane at 7:45am and then fly up to Cairns, the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef. Once we arrive in  Cairns, we’ll check in for a 3 night (beach-side) stay at  Crystalbrook Flynn, which offers a vibrant, luxury stay  with 3 levels of restaurants, bars and stunning glass  pools. Once we get settled in, we’ll go out for a nice  dinner. (B,D)

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 31 (TIME TO EXPLORE) 
After breakfast, we’ll spend the day exploring the  worlds largest coral reef, The Great Barrier Reef, one of  the seven wonders of the natural world. This will be  an unforgettable reef exploration by a high-speed,  modern superyacht cruise experience including snorkeling or scuba diving if you choose. After a day of amazement, we’ll have a lovely dinner. (B,D)

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 1 (SCENIC KURANDA)
Today we explore the oldest tropical rainforest by Kuranda Scenic Rail. There will be time to explore the markets in the Kuranda Village. Next, we board the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway. Iconic views include Red Peak and Barron Falls stations. Our journey will take us to Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures, the best place to see saltwater crocodiles, cuddly Koala’s and Kangaroos! Discover a close up view on our 25 minute Wetlands boat cruise  where you will discover an ecological splendor. (B,D)

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 2 (CAIRNS TO SYDNEY) 
Pack your bags, we’re flying to  Australia’s capital city, Sydney. Settle in at the beautifully restored,169-year old sandstone luxury hotel, the Paradox Sydney, where every detail reflects the city’s vibrant spirit. Today, we feel the ocean breeze on a Harbor Cruise Lunch and Tour which includes breathtaking views of the Opera House, and Harbor Bridge. In the evening, experience the Famed Sydney Opera House Tour, an architectural  marvel of interlocking white “sails” that soar toward the sky, a 20th century  masterpiece. (B,L,D)

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 3 (ONE MORE DAY IN SYDNEY)
Experience Sydney on a  Bondi Beach Motor Coach Tour and a walking tour including visits to the Royal  Botanical Gardens, the Rocks and the historic Hyde Park Barracks of colonial  Australia located downtown Sydney. (B,L) 

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 4 (FLIGHT TO QUEENSTOWN, NEW ZEALAND)
Rise  and shine! Today, we fly to the Southern Alps of New Zealand. We’ll stay at  Hotel St. Moritz in Queenstown, built on an elevated hillside offering spectacular  lake and mountain views (only a 2-minute walk to the city center.) Later in the  afternoon, we’ll embark the TSS Earnslaw Steamship for a scenic cruise, including  a visit to Walter High Country Farm for a sheep dog demonstration and BBQ  Dinner on Lake Whakatipu. THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 5 (UNIMAGINABLE JOURNEY TO MILFORD SOUND) 
Today we experience awe-inspiring scenic views as we travel to Milford Sound  through endless beauty. Arrive Piopiotahi and step aboard a sleek, modern cata maran for an unforgettable voyage into the most spectacular fiord on Earth. Expe rience cascading waterfalls and wildlife including seals basking on the rocks to dol phins playing in the wake. Relax and soak in the magnificent scenery as we sip on  tea and coffee while enjoying a nice lunch onboard. (B,L)

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 6 (QUEENSTOWN AREA)
Hold tight for a world-famous  Shotover Jet experience, full of 360-degree spins, a spectacular 20-minute adrena line rush at breathtaking speeds with wall-to wall canyon views from start to finish.  Later, enjoy a taste of wine during our tour of the Gibbston Valley Winery, home of  New Zealand’s largest wine cave. Queenstown is where bungy jumping was pio neered by AJ Hackett. Our day includes a trip to the Infamous Historic Kawarau  Bridge to watch the bungy jumpers. Prepare for a spectacular Skyline Gondola  tour to Bob’s Peak, a dramatic, world-famous vista spanning the city, lake and  mountains. Dinner will be served at the Stratosphere Restaurant, a panoramic  experience. (B,D)

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 7 (QUEENSTOWN TO CHRISTCHURCH)
Time to take a  flight for 1 night stay in Christchurch, a unique city of botanical gardens, arts, and  charming culture. Once we arrive, we’ll check into the elegant Distinction Hotel in  the city center. Next, we’ll take a ride to the SCENIC French influenced harbor  town of Akaroa and experience Kiwi hospitality in a homecooked dinner. (B,D)

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 8 (CHRISTCHURCH TO AUCKLAND)
Today, we take a short  flight to Auckland where we will experience a bit of Northern New Zealand. Discover an ancient world 30 million years in the making and marvel at Mother Nature’s living light display as we make our way through the Waitomo Glowworm Caves. Next we cross the lush farmlands of Waikato as we make our way inland to Rotorua. Here, we will enjoy a full Te Pā Tū Māori Cultural  seasonal feast. (B,D)

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 9 (HOBBITON)
Rise up! We have another day in New Zea land! Travel through the lush Waikato farming region and take a visit to Matamata,  home of the actual Hobbiton Movie Set where both Lord of the Rings and Hobbit  movies were filmed. Bask in picturesque views of the beautiful countryside. A  delicious farewell dinner will be enjoyed together. (B,D)

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 10 (TRAVEL BEGINS HOMEWARD) 
A coach will transport us to the Aukland Airport for our flight back to Minneapolis.  Once back in the USA, a private coach will and drive us back to Orange City.
